Questions
What is a vCard?
A vCard is the standard contact-card format phones understand. When the code is scanned, the phone offers to “Add contact” with everything filled in.
How much can I put in it?
Name, company, job title, phone, email, website and address. The more you add, the denser the code — keep it to what people need, or print it a bit bigger.
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The link or text is stored inside the code itself, with nothing in between, so it keeps working for as long as the thing it points to exists. There is no trial, no subscription and no server that could switch it off.
Is it really free? Is there a watermark?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limits on how many codes you make. Everything runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing to give away. Qrio is a free tool by Doetra.
