How it works

Questions

How many codes can I make at once?

Up to 500 per batch, as many batches as you like. Other tools charge a monthly plan for bulk creation.

What should my CSV look like?

Two columns: what goes in the code, then the label. A header row is fine — it is detected and skipped. Comma, semicolon and tab separated files all work.

Are the file names the labels?

Yes. Each file is named after its label (or numbered if there is none), so “Table 12” becomes Table-12.png.

Do these QR codes expire?

No. The link or text is stored inside the code itself, with nothing in between, so it keeps working for as long as the thing it points to exists. There is no trial, no subscription and no server that could switch it off.

Is it really free? Is there a watermark?

Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no limits on how many codes you make. Everything runs in your browser, so it costs us nothing to give away. Qrio is a free tool by Doetra.

Do you track who scans my code?

No. Because the code goes straight to your link, nobody — including us — sees who scanned it, when or where. Your details are never uploaded either.
