Can it read Bangla and English in the same image?
Yes — that is the default. Most free OCR reads one language at a time, so the other one turns into nonsense. Glean reads both together, so a mixed notice comes out right.
Is it free? Is there a limit?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no daily limit and no page cap. The reading happens on your device, so it costs nothing to give away. Glean is a free tool by Doetra.
Are my files uploaded?
No. Images and PDFs are read in your browser. The first time you use a language, its reading data (a few MB) is downloaded once and kept; your files never leave your device.
How accurate is it?
Very good on clear prints, screenshots and scans; weaker on handwriting, tiny text, blur or heavy shadows. Tap any line to see where it came from on the image and fix it right there.
