What is the safe area?

On Reels, Shorts and TikTok the bottom of the screen is covered by the caption, buttons and music line. With Safe area on, Capsy places captions higher on vertical videos so nothing hides them.

Can captions show one word at a time?

Yes. Under Show, pick Word for the one-word-at-a-time look, or Phrase to show the line with the spoken word highlighted.

Is it really free? Is there a watermark?

Yes, it is free with no watermark, no sign-up and no monthly minutes. The captions are written on your own device, so there is no server cost to pass on. Capsy is a free tool by Doetra.

Is my video uploaded anywhere?

No. The video is opened, captioned and exported in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server — even the speech recognition runs on your device.

How long does it take?

The first time, the speech AI loads in the background (once; after that it is cached). Captioning then takes roughly a quarter to a half of the video’s length on a laptop; the MP4 export takes about as long as the clip.

Can I fix a wrong word?

Yes. Every caption is listed beside the video — tap it, retype, and the timing stays in sync. Click a time to jump the video there.
